Possum Trap

 

 

Brief:

Design a possum trap that is safe to operate, versatile, easy to use and can endure New Zealand’s diverse weather conditions and landscape.

 

Purpose:

To meet the growing need for safe and ethical pest control in both urban, rural, and native bush environments

 

Solution:

A fully realised product, complete with the design and manufacture of several tools for injection moulding. The main tool shown, required several shut offs and multiple cores, but reduced costs in assembly and eliminated further machining work. The Flipping Timmy possum trap has since grown into one of New Zealand’s most popular possum traps.
